How frequently does a water pump go out on a 03 dodge durango. I have 123k. Im not sure it's but it took a half jug of coolant and a half a quter of oil. it's a 03. I bought it July three 09.

At 123,000 a pretty bit. Don',t worry. Have it pressure tested. The heads or just the head gaskets, the water pump, and front cover and chain all need service at this many miles, but just pressure test it for now, ok. Depends on engine size. They go at 60,000 and up. On a v engine. If oil and coolant are to get burned through the exhaust, it can be just head gaskets. So with the cylinder heads off, its easier to get it all done and you',ll be good for a while maybe another 120,000 miles. Normal so don',t be alarmed it',s not a lemon and this is bound to happen. Better now than on a trip. Good truck. Its not so much the mileage, but the RPM',s and time of the original coolant still in it. You won',t find many good trucks like this much longer.
