In park, engine sounds great. I can rev it up good with no humorous sounds. once I put it into drive and apply pressure to the gas, it dogs a bit like I'm running out of gas. Could this be the alternator? I ask because I noticed the other day that the engine didn',t sound right when I rolled up the windows. It sounded like it loosed some power. Now it's like some spark plugs are missing. I can dive good at around 510 mph. Over that it dogs out.



Any clues as to what I should look for? No money to take it to a shop. How do I test the voltage for an alternator? What should the reading be? Same for spark plugs.
