1996 cadilac devil running hot?

my cadilac runs 195 on normal cool days and today it runned 217 203 in 90 degree weather. is this normal? we put in a new thermostate an flushed the radiater and blasted it clean of dirt and debries. any help is largely appreciated.

it depends on the thermostat you have they r rated for temp they from 185 220 degree thermostats it's normal for it to run a little warmer on a hot day also

Get a bigger radiator.or get an aux electric cooling fan.
180 to 210 is normal temp..

Yes it is normal to run hotter when the ambient temp is high.. also
when you use your air conditioning the motor works harder, and hotter

Are you losing antifreeze and can not figrure out where it's going? Northstar engines are notorious for blowing head gaskets.They overheat,you stop for a while and drive away because they go to firing on less cylinders to prevent overheating and to get you home Check the radiator overflow resivoir and if out of antifreeze,you fill it up, then are overheating again it's your head gaskets.Look in the rear view mirror and see if white smoke pours out when you floor it
