1998 Mazda 626 Squeaking sound?

Postby jojo » Fri Sep 28, 2007 8:23 pm

My car maked a squeaking sound on occasion when I started the engine primarily in wet or wet weather. two different people told me I required to replace my fan belts, one person told me I needed the pulleys tightened what does that mean? . So I replaced the two fan belts and now the squeak is worse than ever.. The mechanic told me I have to replace one of the front axels soon, could this be the problem? Please help, my car is driving me nuts and I'd like to be safe.. As you may be able to tell I do not know much about cars..

Feed the mice. They squeak when they're hungry.

If new belts don't work. you may have a bad bearing in just about anything conected to the belt.

They have to tighten the pulleys that drive your belts. The Axel won't make you car squeak when you start your car.

Try to replace the generator belt also, or spray some WD 40 on all the belts. That squeaking sound seems as the belts get wet, and WD 40 should displace the humidity.
