2002 Cavalier Torquing Issues?

Postby JerryHu » Tue Nov 03, 2009 1:48 am

I drive a 2002 chevy cavalier and I have been having some big issues with torquing. Whenever I speed up the car jerks to the right and when ever I decelerate I shifts back to the left. The issue looks to get better if I have a passenger or two in the car with me but just with me driving it's annoying. I have taken it to a couple shops and they return to me with nothing. They don't know what the issue is. I replaced my struts and engine mounts through out this procedure in an effort to fix it but nothing. Any help could be largely appreciated.

How bad is the pull? I have had a bit of a pull in both cavaliers I have had and a little in other cavaliers I have driven. it looks like just a cavalier thing. though if it pulling majorly, the only thing I can think of is your suspension may be going on one side. Reason being is think about it a second, when you lift a car the wheels go in and somewhat turn, plus when you put more people in the car it doesn',t do it really. Possibly because you're leveling out the suspension. Before you use up lots of money on new shocks and coils, take it to a shop and ask them for a compression test on your suspension.
