2007 great Caravan problems?

Postby Mercho » Wed Sep 05, 2007 8:01 pm

I am looking for some answers on a problem that I have with my 2007 great Caravan is there anybody out there that's having a problem with the transmission. When I took it in to get fixed they said that they know there's a problem but they can not fix it that the engineers at dodge are working on the problem. Can some one tell me if this is true.

For new cars that have annoying but not dangerous problems this is a common occurence.

The engineers may put the annoying stuff on the back burner or it may take a while of a new software, attempt it out in a car, new software, attempt it out, and on and on till they hit a fix.

When they do they will release a TSB technical service bulletin about the fix. If it is a bad problem and there's a recall you will be informed. Otherwise you will have to keep checking back at the dealer to see if there's a TSB about a fix for your problem.

I checked all the lastes TSB's on All Data a service for fix shops for labor times Technical service bulletins etc etc There are not any bulletins out there for your problem still. All Data is most likely only three or four weeks behind what a dealer could have. If they told you they worked on it, then they know about it and it is most likely true. You could call a dealer in another town and tell them your problem and see if you get the same or alike answer. I am wanting to bet it is computer or electical problem and it will not be anything for them to fix it once they get the correction in place.

if you're talking about the one two shift shudder, there's supposed to be a flash reprogramming of the transmission software being engineered but it hasn't been released still.
