Am I the only one who thinks that the ford corvette is a wanna be porsche 911???
everyone thinks it doesnt nut I think they look a lot alike. they aren't like identicle but they're like have lots of comparisons. what do you think???

Ford makes the MUSTANG which is better then the Chevy Corvette. It also was better then the 911. You can not compare an old Shelby Mustang to a 911 and expect the 911 to come out on top. The thing is that a 911 is a position thing. it is not that it's better, it is just costly.

Umm since when was the corvette made by ford. Its made by chevy last I knew. Mustangs are made by ford.

first of all, it's a CHEVROLET Corvette,and while they may look alike, the porsche could win in nearly any comparision because the corvette wasn't made to compete with the 911.

First Corvette fitted 1955.
First 911 fitted 1964.
Lots of models of each in the last 42 years.

Totally different cars consequently of the difference in engineering and corporate philosophy, though these cars may have at times looked somewhat alike.

Chevrolet may have built a cheap two seated brute great for straight line performance and flashy looks, but Porsche built a timeless and balanced tool for enjoying a range of driving conditions, and that is why I have a 911 in my garage.

There so many wanna be 911s.Nissan 350z for example. Everyone is trying to compete with porsche.which I believe still the benchmark as far as sports cars go and still one the best cars money can purchase.

i think you may want to know a little about cars before you ask those questions. there's no comparison beetween the two. a porsche is for show offs who wish to spen 2,000 extra bux on air conditioning which is an choice on porsches. when you purchase a porsche you get a car with an engine and a frame. you have to pay a lot for everything else. corvettes are much better.&#92,

OK . the Corvette is a Chevrolet. It and the Porsche are as unalike as two automobiles can possibly be. Corvette is all about a big engine and most newer ones are quicker than a 911 ON STRAIGHT PAVEMENT. A 911 is about maneuverability and decent to excellent acceleration, based on the year and type, as well as the capability to STOP and TURN. they are two things that stock Corvettes just don't do well. On a drag strip most Corvettes can beat most Porsche 911s. On a twisty course, the tighter the turns the better, the 911 will run away with it easily. Both may be beautiful cars, but people can ruin anything by fooling around with the looks without knowing what they are doing.

Ok its chevy but each one else said that already but really what I'm going to say is that the porsche is way better then the corvett they only thing you're paying for on a corvette is the power while porsche is powerful, fast, they handle like godly cars and they have real and beautiful interiors, and they're way safer, but one of the big thing about them are that a porsche is a porsche of course and that has a way better brand name and porsche yes they're way more realible and gas friendly then corvettes.
