I have a Toyota Scion tc. 2006. I needed two new tires. they're $250 EACH. The Scion is an afordable car. The Scion also has a repute much like "Saturn".. they do not haggle the prices. it's what is is. If that is the case, why are the tires costly than a Mercedes or a BMW? $250 per tire. that is lots. What is the real price of the tire? Am I to get taken advantage of?

$250 a tire? The tC is a small car I can not see tires for that car being so much unless they are trying to sell you the brand the car came with.
You do not have to go with the original brand tires the car came with. Tire Rack has a good selection of tires priced way cheaper and most likely better then the originals.

they are out of there mind if in NY area call 1800 four traction ask to see if near store 48. go to a local tire dealer like Mavis don't decide the same tires that you put on there because they wear quicker than others.

They are most likely trying to sell you the top of the line, brand name tires. Now on my race car, the tires I use cost about $160 a part, but they're drag slicks. The tires that I use for the street are Toyo Proxes and they're only $175 each. If you don't want "brand name" tires you may be able to go to a local aftermarket wheel place and get an complete SET OF four for about $300 installed.

Without knowing what tire you have been quoted on, make, model, and size, and the mileage warranty, there's no way to know if it's a just price or not. I drive a Ford Escort. I can get a tire for $55 installed, or I can get a tire for $125 installed. I may also find a tire for $400, not as well as installation. they're all the same size, but they aren't the same tires by any means.

How do you need tires on a 2006 already, and how did you only need 2? two new tires go on the rear for safety by the way, unless the other two have 80% of their tread left, and it does not matter if the car is RWD or FWD.

wow I looked at the tire site below by the time you add the road hazard tire disposal and installation and complementary the bridgestone turanza could be $250 the cheapest tire avalible is a Continental ContiPremierContact @ $115 ea about $150 installed the dealer will only put the tire on that comes on the car go to a local tire service center if you want cheaper tires good luck

Why do not you research for prices on the internet as there are lots of bargains around. Discount Tyres are your best bet for quality and service.

You know that the Tc tires have to low profile tires, that cost more $ then just norm. tires. I think when I prices tires for my Tc they were a bit expensive at the toyota/scion dealership. I got my tires from a local tire place around my home town. It cost me about $135 a tire that was good for about 50,000 miles.

You just have to shop around, get on the internet and search for tires, and call some local tire shops and get prices.
