Amp question?

i have to know which one of these amps will be louder andsound best with two 12" Alpine Type R dual 2ohm subs hooked up at 2ohms, I have heard that the kicker zx1000.1 is really under rated, by like nearly 300 400 watts, and the alpine is just a little over is ranking like only 88 watts, so need sum help here, thanks

I will put it into perspective so you are aware of.

Let's just say the Kicker is 400 watts more than than the rated 1000 watts RMS. Since it takes doubling the power just for a three dB increase, you'r looking at a 1.67 dB difference. This is not obvious to the human ear at this volume level. do not sweat the small stuff.

With that, either one will work.

The kicker is rated at RMS, and isn't under rated at all.
The alpine is rated at RMS power.
The difference is going to be clearness. The alpine will be clean and clear, the kicker has a bit more oomph at the expense of clearness.

both those guys said my kicker was alright, go with alpine amps if your going with alpine subs and vise versa.

with my reaserch kicker doesnt have the beestt quality but alpine's is lower, compare the THD in any of two alpine and kicker, the alpine has more distorsion
