Yes, they are great cars. Except for fuel economy, and that is not why you drive a luxury sedan nevertheless they're really good automobiles.

I own a 1982 300 sd turbo diesel with 150k clearly this car is slower than the gas model, but as far as the solidity of the real chassis, it's a tank. I love it. It goes over bumps, no prob you do not feel them when you close the doors, they shut solidly. It really cruises you feel comfy & safe & like you own the road. My recommendation if you're interested in buying a w126 attempt to find one with low miles V8 models with high miles can have probs with timing chain & timing chain rails breaking.
