The motor went, that's all I know and it has half an inch gap. I'll have to do it myself and get motor from scrap yard as money are low. Any ideas where I start..?? arg.

Call around and find the best price. Then you'll have to take the inside of you door separately. Be cautious and place all parts so you know how to put them back together. Then take the window system out. Take the old motor off and replace it with the new one. Put it all back together. If you have never done this by yourself, get someone to assist you.

Diagnose what is wrong 1st it may be one of the folowing: Fuse, wiring, Window regulator or the motor on the window. use a multimeter to find the problem, then exchange it out for a working one. Fuse visual check regulator/wiring should be to get power to it Multimeter wiring to motor multimeter if all that's working good then its the motor itself exchange it out, they are usually greatly overpriced
