pretty hard subs on the budget side of things.

Yes. I recently installed four CVR 12',s in my buddies car and I has been surprised on how good they sounded but they're great subs. They aren',t to costly $150 for a pair on ebay with shipping and they're Kicker so you know they can take a beating. Well worth the buy
