Yeah I could say dependability is one of their strengths.
Don't expect much in the way of luxury or excitment in the drive although.
They have had some issues with the Engine Management control valves on some models so I could check that 1st. My pops notice the reference being pops swears by them. When he finished his mortgage off he decided to treat himself to a Jag so we went looking at them. After about a month he decided to get another Vectra that is his 3rd in a row now. He used to work on cars then became a chemical engineer so he knows his stuff.

Vauxhaulls are GM they are wicked dependable, may be pretty fast too, like the VX220.

according to the buyer affiliation they're ranked about center for reliabilty above the french makes like renault and peugeot, about the same as BMW or VW..top spot is held by toyota followed by the other japanese makes like honda, then asian makes like hyundi. Bottom place are all the italian makes like fiat and alfa..vauxhall worked hard to get up to their current level as they used to be near the bottom.

Hell yeah, My 2003 Astra went for four years with little trouble flat battery overnight once, jumped next day, same battery for four years . It was a obedient car and generally did as it was told, in the wet.
