Attention all drivers?

Why do motorist just hog the center lanes of motorway's and three lane dual cart way's? Are they not away that the center lane is for overtaking? And the same goes for the outside lane. And do they not wonder why they're being overtaken on both side. MOVE TO THE INSIDE LANE. what is wrong with you people. And another thing. Lorry driver's. Why do you guy's insist on catching up with a lorry that's in front of you. Just because the lorry in front of you is doing five mph more than you. Because all you end up doing is taking to lanes up two lanes for miles? Just wait untill one of you needs a tachco break. Or untill you get to your jct.

I don't experience this in the states, but I'll leery of it if I go visit

I with you on this as I find it really annoying but,

I will use the mddle lane if the 'slow lane' surface is worn so badly that there are tyre groves in it. I refuse to damage my car because the council will not fix it. If a car approaches from behind, I pull over to let it to pass through, then resume.

I live in Lincolnshire so my use of Motorways is rare, but they're a mess.

I imagine that this subject is a pet peeve of many people, me included. possibly part of the problem is that everyone mentions "the fast lane" and "the slow lane" rather than "the catching up with lanes."
Also, it could help largely if there was formal professional instruction on motorway driving before a test.
As for lorry drivers, do not get me started..

drivers overuse the center lane to preserve the choice of catching up with or pulling over whenever they, its a selfish thing. I do agree with you about the lorry thing, I waited nearly a mile for a lorry to finish an overtake on another lorry, after the manoeuvre they were both going at the same speed. What a waste of time.

GREAT question, that's something I hate also. The other one is all those cars that don't seem to have functioning indicators... Maybe it's the loose nut behind the wheel.
And to "Mo" I'm a Brit nw living in the States for 15 years and I find it just as bead here in Colorado.

The one thing that happens frequently around here is that two cars get side by side and continue at the same speed, generally blocking the highway. I get stuck behind these clowns every day. I think there should be no penalty for pushing these idiots off the road. Nice to know there is dumb drivers nearly everywhere.

I do not know about your road ways, but in IL the left lane is the passing lane on a three lane road. Also from what refering to as a Lorry you're from or in a different country, things are different in the USA.

i hate the A14. I use the center lane because I am sh t afraid of accidentally taking a left onto the M11 and heading to london. there are so many lorries being @rseholes on there as you that its hard to read the road signs for your turning/lane change. I supposed that if I kept at 70 in the center id be ok. why could people be catching up with me when the uk speed bound is 70?
i've got to use this horrid road again next week. I think I may just take the train......

haha.. them lorry drivers. the one who "overtakes" only gets there 30 sec before the other one.
