I drove a Vespa motorscooter many decades ago.
My memory is that I got hundreds of miles to the gallon.
It stands to reason that an auto will only get a tiny fraction of the miles per gallon of a motor scooter or moter bike because the mass of the car itself is many times the mass of the two wheeler.
Let's estimate that the mass of the car is 20 times that of the two wheeler, and the power of the car engine is two times . so we can start with an estimate that we should expect ten times the miles per gallon on the two wheeler as we get on the four wheeler.
I wonder how many miles per gallon an 18 wheeler gets?
I could guess one or 2.
