 Ball joints on 98 ford explorer, how much $ to replace? |

i have to replace the ball joints on a 98 explorer. anybody know huw much it cost and how long it takes? hmmm

It depends on if it is four wheel drive or two wheel, and if it's upper or lower. Uppers you have to replace upper control arm, and the lowers are press in. Plus you'll have to have it realignied after replacing ball joints

i own a shop,and this typically runs around 150 bucks parts and labor, then the front end needs to be re aligned on it,but you still looking at under 200 for everything, that's what I charge for this,some shops will be higher, on this,good luck with it,i hope this help,s.

I use autozone.com to get the cost of the parts. I could looked it up for you but it requires you to enter information that you do not identify in your question, like upper or lower, etc.
