Can I change my headlight style?

Postby ridinlow » Mon Oct 08, 2007 1:12 am

I have a 94' GMC C2500 Sierra SL. I have that dual headlamp system the one with 6054 style headlights . I have seen some other Sierra's and they have like two headlights on top and two below if I am not mistakened. Can I change that whole grillle, rad support or front end by myself? Do I need special alignment tools for my headlights, and what headligh wiring harness could I have to use Ie 9006?

Yes you can. there are some number of alternatives you may go with. The GM factory choice is one. The other could be to visit your local customizing/performance shop, they'll have alternatives for you to use the present wire setup or have plug in adaptors for your preference.

Yes you may be able to. you may be able to order a grill of another model from GM and just screw it on. you may be able to do this with any GM from 1988 to 1998 bodystyle. Every custom truck magazine has ads from two specific businesses that offer this. it's a common thing for holders of older trucks to change the grill to a afterward and better looking grill to make their truck look newer. Check out "Truckin' " magazine for the big ad someplace in the mag. it is in there every issue, and many guys do this. Not costly either. Phone the company and tell 'em what you have, and what you want to get, to ensure compatibility. I did it to my '91 GMC 2500 Sierra SL.
