Can I have your opinion on the VW Jetta? experience only ?
I'm about to by a 2004 or 2005 VW Jetta. They seem like the most great cars. Just looking for some opinions before I close the deal. Have you owned one? Did it give you problems? Did you love it?

The Jetta also of the rest of mid to mini sizes of VW are coming all in the same engine presentations:
1.8 T, 2.0, 2.2 TDi, V6
From the 1st to the last is real good performer, but not when you have auto transmission, if you need good performance and auto transmission go for the V6, otherwise you'll feel irritated. the performance is lightly slow from zero to 20, from 20 and over is satisfactory to good.
This car was born to be Manual, so get it manual and go for it.
The rest is simply a VW, no failures, great engine, eternal, surprising quality and the new releases are looking great and have lots of equipment built“ in that no other has.
So go for it.

I had an 02 Jetta. It got great gas mileage but had a really small gas tank. I had some problems with the catalytic converter.only had 23,000 miles on it when it crapped out but they're covered under federal warranty for up to 75,000 miles. in general good car. The back seat wasn't spacious at all but the truck was big.
