Can the fast disconnect on the hydraulic clutch line to the slave cylinder be replaced?
I am trying to replace the clutch in a 1992 Ford Ranger 3.0 V6. the only thing keeping me from pulling the trans out now its The fast disconnect on the hydraulic clutch line from the clutch master cylinder to the slave cylinder is seized and wont come separately. I think I'll have to cut the line because it won’t disconnect with the special tool. The hydraulic clutch line from the clutch master cylinder to the slave cylinder is $85.00 and the slave cylinder is at least another $85.00. could I have to replace both the hydraulic line from the clutch master cylinder to the slave cylinder and the slave cylinder it self? Or could I be able to replace just the fast disconnect fitting? I just have to know the cheapest way to fix it when I am putting it back together. it's a hydraulic system so hose clamps and a rubber line won’t work I don’t think. thanks.

If you cut the line, it is gonna have to replace both the line and the whole slave cylinder as they do not have any user serviceable parts like you're asking about..Sorry
I've used PB max covered into the fast connection also as a small flat screwdriver to shove the white band back into the fast disconnect once or twice to pop the line off..sometimes grime and dirt get in there and a clean and penetration lube does wonders.
