In the 70's there was a Ford Fiesta, and they're planning on bringing out another in 2009, so possibly you heard fiesta encore?
The one for 09 will be a sub compact.

silly american answers.
the fiesta was sold here in europe since 1976.
the car is the ford fiesta and the trim level is the "encore" just the cheap basic variant.
comes with a 1.8 diesel or 1.3 8v pushrod petrol.
was made between 1995 1999 mk4 fiesta and has been replaced by the fiesta "flight" on the mk5 variant, then the fiesta "finesse" for the mk6.
easy peasy.
