Car amp has NO GROUND wire plugged in, and still works? |

I haved trouble with it those of you who answered my last questions know what I mean, haha and tried unplugging the ground cable from the amp, and it starts working flawlessly.whaaaat? earlier to this the protection light came on, and the amp could not output, but still switch on.

The outer conductors on your RCA cables are a supply of ground.

It is using the case as a ground.
it has the ground wire as a safety so it'll keep working

exactly what sparky said, and if the amplifier is cranked up, the ground will seem to the radio as a positive and fry the RCA ouputs on the radio if not the radio itself.

yes it's going to burn the preamp part of the amplifiers or the radio because it's taking ground from the rca jacks
