All Honda B series engines were DOHC dual over head cams.
B16a had about 160hp & 111ft pounds of torque & was a VTEC engine. The B16a2 & 3, if they were a JDM motor they had about 170hp with 112ft pounds of torque. If it was a US model, it only had about 160hp w/110ft pounds of torque.
The B16b was first the Civic type R motor, rated at about 185hp & about 126ft pound of torque, if I can remember properly. but, was only offered in Japan & not in the US :
The b18/a/b has been rated at 140hp & 111ft pounds of torque. it is a non VTEC engine.

that's a pretty general question. pick up some copies of HONDA TUNING magazine. they feature cars and engine setups that are acually attainable, new and old hondas and acuras, will not waste your time with some overbuilt evo that could set you back more than a new 'vette
