Car has problem starting, sometimes? |
|
I have a 93 Geo Prizm, and when I drive it anywhere, it works. But once I attempt to start it again, it dies on me in some seconds. I will turn it off and start it again, give it some gas and it works.
Now I already replaced the fuel filter AND got a fuel injection service so I do not know what else it may be. it is running better then before but I do not want it to die on me while I am on the road.

I had the wires changed about three years ago and the spark plugs changed eight months ago.

have you checked the power supply if the cables are loose or corroded?

If I'm not mistaking, you car has a Toyota engine.
When was last time you did a tune up?
I could at least change spark plugs and wires, it may be the problem and it is going to cost you round $100 $150.
Good luck.

that thing has an electronic fuel pump probaly located in the gas tank. check at the injector body to see if it's prouducing enough pressure to keep the injector body full. if not then you'll have to replace the pump provided all the lines are good.
