Difference between 2006 Mazda3 Sedan I and S? |

S looks bit different in the back, and has like ten more HP, but what are some other differences by engine, quality, etc.? Sedan S is like $1,500 costly than I

that is not the only difference. Besides the I having the 2.0 and the s having the 2.3, the s also has a part of ground fx on both sides, fog lights, bigger alloy's, and a 2.3 badge on the car. Also the side air bag pkg is standard on the s and its a package on the i. there's of course a price difference also.

MazdaMatt has a lot of good information that's also correct. he has to be to get it straight from the sales manual. Here is some extra real world information for you. Other than the odd check engine light for a purge valve either model is pretty trouble free, provided they are not abused. The I model has a more low end torque and will get on average about five mpg more than the s model. I have heard reports of the I model with auto trans, to get 36 40 on the highway, steadily. I could recommend an alignment in the 1st 12,000 miles warranty must pay for it, after 12k you're on your . Mazda sets the cars a little violent for better handling, but it'll lead to early tire wear. Expect the stock Toyo's or Goodyear's to last around 20k 25k.

Its the same engine, but with different headers, which makes it .3 liters bigger and adds ten more HP. The s variant is nearly half a second quicker to 60mph than the I variant. The dependability and quality is the same.
