In other words, do you have a death wish when you tailgate on a motorway?

If people adhered to the rules for driving on a motorway, rear gating wouldnt exist.

No, I'm the one going to be killed when the idiots in the SUV tailgate my ride. I just pass the people who go too slow.

I do not tailgate any where. Not if I may help it, and I keep to the speed limitations, as much as is possible. Like Scouse I hate that too. Some people seem to think that they have a entitlement to break the law, because they have either an costly or fast car.

Personally I do not do it and I think the people who do should get on the spot fines because it stops the driver infront concentrating on the road ahead.
It is especially annoying when you're sticking to the speed bound, built area or otherwise, and some clown tailgates you just because they want to go faster, although it's illegal and dangerous for them to do so.

i like it when people attempt to tailgate me on open road.
i put on my racing harness belts and helmet speed up a little
if they speed up with me, I hit brakes
my steel bumper will not give, but it sure messes up their front end
they get a ticket for following too close, and I get a call from their insurance company
the ones without insurance have lost their cars and had to pay fines

I leave a gap of some seconds.if I sense a tailgater in the distance and I'm in lane two then I pull in to the slow lane, let them overtake and continue, my approach is that if they wanna overtake in any situation be it motorway or residential then just let them go, I'll arrive in my own time safe and sound, relaxed and enjoyed my drive.thanks

The only time I'll tailgate is if I'm soon to pass by.

No I leave room but people allways jam in the space and I'm left with no choice.

It is very annoying when people tailgate. Why don’t they just overtake when the road is clear?
