Dodge again? |

Believe it or not I do understand a pretty bit about cars.I do my own maintenance right up to changing big parts of the engine and suspension.I don't have the money to bring it to a garage so I attempt to do everything myself.99% of the time it turns pretty good.Lately I relied on info and tricks to help me troubleshoot and attempt to help me get more hp out of my part of junk.Basically what Im to get at is all I came here for is advice and not have people battling over my questions.I just want help,I don't care who helps me as long as its the right advice.Im not the kind of person to take anybody on their word.I do my research before applying any of the answers received here.So if anybody out there can give me the right advice for any of my questions do.
Thanks

Ok then, I'll answer you. I'm picky about what I decide to answer because I do not like giving generic answers or I do not have a answer that hits the nail on the head. The reason why I think people flock to some questions is because it's a common problem or it's something they can google to appear like a hero. As far as your question on changing fuel injection parts between two mopars the paragraph you added isn't observable on the answer page is this. If the engines you're interchanging are the same displacement and visibly look the same then 99% of the time the interchanged part will work for you. Thanks, Morgan

Here's the deal. Every modern car's engine is controlled by an on board computer. That computer's programming is particular to the car, the engine, the year, the particular trim level, transmission type, and the state in which the car's emissions systems are compliant with. Throttle bodies are particular to the engine also. they're intended and calibrated for a particular fuel and airflow. You can not just switch them to a different car and expect them to work. They may not fit caused by size, connector, or screw pattern differences, and if they do, they may not be calibrated for the engine you put them on. If your needs is to increase performance, you may want to look at throttle body spacers, cold air intakes, and high flow air filters, rather than trying to switch throttle bodies. there is quite some Neon performance stuff out there.

there's another answer to this also, you can purchase performance injectors for that car, that will work with the throttle body you have now, their not that costly, and this will assist it lots.there's lots of parts for the neon's that will assist them, but there not supposed to be power house, there only so much you'll get from it,good luck on it.

If you supply the years of the Neon and the concorde and if it's a single or double over head cam engine I'll do the cross reference on the Hollander system. now it only seems the only interchangeable throttle body for 1996 neon is the stratus SOHC only manual only but that may change when you supply more information. used 1996 for example
