DODGE CALIBER I'm wanting to purchase one.? |

I owned a 2007 since aug of last year. I loved it for the space of it. it is really got pretty good pick up if you drive it right and it is okay on gas milage. I drive stop and go everyday at get 23. Highway gets about 26 mpg. I have had it up to 110 mph and it held steady.
I've had many issues with the wiring in it. The sunroof blew twice, the back motor blew, the cig lighter keeps blowing on my chargers and keeps killing my chargers with it, the cooler does not cool and for a while the driver and passanger side windows sounded like I killed a gerbel by putting them down, they both were replaced with new units, which were on national back order. Frustrating. The engine light came on in the winter. Took it in and they said it nothed and they cleared it. it went away for a month and did the same thing. did not come back on till about a month ago and it wenton and off for about a week. I took it to the dealer, they cleared it and said it nothed. I got in to drive it away and it came back on. It has sat, all and all, at the dealership for most likely a total of a month and half.
I love the car enough but I can not wait to get rid of it. It needs time to get the bugs worked out of it. It needs to be around for a several years untill they get all of the quirks fixed. I'd never purchase another "new" model car. Good luck

I rented one and hated it. I think there are better small cars out there, but I do not know your needs. If you need AWD, maybe it is a good one for you, but I did not like the CVT tranny.
