The light bulbs will fit. The light cover won't. Chevy and GMC while just the same truck, have different headlights, taillights, and grill. The cover part on a chevy is more vertical, while on a gmc it is more horizontal. you'll need specifc covers for each make. The light bulbs but, just plug into the hole, and are standard issue.

Edit: This is particular to the 2000 model year you asked about. I believe this answer is valid for any truck 98 06 and will include the 2007 classic body style.

2nd Edit: After rereading your question, I see that your not talking about swapping it from silverado to sierra, but from a suburban to a sierra. The answer above still applies. The headlights on the Sierra are a more rounded, while the headlights on the Suburban are a more square. You could like exchange the headlight off of a Yukon, they should be same.

all based on the year make and model of your car. Take the vin# to your local dealer and they'll be able to answer your question. usually, they're interchangable

It depends on they year. Up till 99, I'd say that they'll interchange. After that, I'm not so sure.

If they're the same year yes or off of the same platform. but, a 2007 Suburban won't fit on a current Sierra since the 2007 is on the new GM platform. as well, attempt the Silverado or Yukon lights.
