most Japanese cars have timing chains, check your holders manual.

Hi Sam,
A 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser has a timing chain. not a belt.
Unless something really bad happens, you should not have to replace a timing chain.

If it is a six cyl, it is got a chain. Open the oil cap and see if you may be able to see it. I think I remember be able to see mine in there towards the front. The eight cyl in the '98 has two timing belts. Not sure about the FJ60 8cyls.
