The MP3 player I chose is a Sandisk M240 1GB my friend has one and says it's easy to use and has good sound quality.
I have found only generic ones that plug into the headset jack only. Where can I find the monster transmitter? it's about the same price $60.00 as the generic ones I have found at Best purchase.

There are just three techniques of to get sound into the stereo from an MP3 player four if you have a cassette .
For non cassette radios, in order of quality, they are:
1 Direct Input This may be accomplished with some modern stock radios by getting an audio input adapter. typically vehicles with optional CD changers can do this. it's certainly the best sound quality. it's also the most costly solution.
2 Hardwired FM transmitter This uses FM but connects straight to the radio and the car's antenna. it's a more hard than the wireless FM unit because the radio must be removed to install it, but typically has somewhat better sound quality.
3 Wireless FM transmitter certainly the simplest technique but also the one most probably to give poor results.
The car and radio makes lots of difference. Some work well with FM transmitters, some do not. One good indication that results may be poor is the lack of an outside antenna on the car common with newer vehicles .
Also check the FM Selectivity of the tuner. Listen to all frequencies available with the FM transmitter unit with the transmitter OFF and see if you hear ANY radio signals bleeding through. You want just clean static with no station leakage.
Also fluorescent lighting and other electrical equipment may get in the way with wireless FM transmitters more.

It can if you purchase a decent transmitter. If you're going to get one get the monster fm transmitter. It costs from 60 70 dollars but it sounds nearly as good as if the mp3 were directly connected.

Depends on which radio station you're listening to, the less sound there's, the better quality there will be.

It really depends on the strength of the single from the radio station and the quality of the radio transmitter. I had bought one a long time ago when they 1st came out and it was awful. I had to really hold my iPod at some angle to get any sound from it. After many tries, I gave up and never used it again. though, there are many more up to date ones now. I could give it a attempt, but be sure they have a GREAT return policy. :

Had a Sirius receiver that worked that way sound quality was not that great and on occasion other radio stations could bleed over.

it depends on if you're using an adapter cord or a frequency transmitter. if you use the transmitter like someone said it depends of the station, its its high on the band it'll be at a better quality. if you use an adapter cord them the cord matters. personally I could use a fiver optic cord. there's very very little resistance. better quality.

If its an ipod go to the apple web site and look up accessories for your model, there are reviews for each product from people that have already brought them and used them.
