replacing it'll not increase fuel comsumption and may really improve performance by a small degree. the disadvantage comes in cold weather when the heated air intake that's factory aids warmup and prevents throttle body icing. this may because a slight stumble when the engine is cold, and may because a bad idle condition after a long deceleration period: ie, drifting down a long grade with throttle closed. you may want to don’t have noticable problems in hot weather and the mileage won't change as this car uses a mass air flow type injection system that will only add the fuel for the amount of air it senses coming through the intake nozzle. your mileage will most likely drop caused by using the extra power the cold air setup may add, but not caused by the design of the cold air system itself. your driving behavior will directly influence your gas mileage as most evrything else is fitted and computer controlled. cold air is denser than hot, but there's also an intake air temperature sensor to set the fuel percentage with. the biggest thing is the new sound ya get from the open air filter, typically cool. enjoy and .. Go Dodge.

not really it assists and if to get a ture duel exaust or any thing more then stock on air or exaust I'll help gas milage. they are the two most comman things to do to cars and trucks to get better hp and milage. on occasion you may be able to hear the cold air suck in and it sounds sweet.
