no. I'm a engineer employed by toyota and I know for a fact it doesn't require premium

A car that requires premium gas will be marked on the inside of the gas door or on the gas cap.

If unmarked normal 87 octane is just good and dandy.

no, it uses regular unleaded.
I recommend every oil change to put a fuel injector cleaner into the tank.

It can run on regular unleaded without any problems at all.
