 Engine squeaking from a 1999 porsche boxter.? |

Every time I give gas I hear a squeaking sound from the engine area. I had my mechanic lift the car with a hoist but same sound when you give gas.

It turns out that the spark plugs were loose.

you have either a tensioner or idler pulley failing causing the belt squeal, it and the belt needs substitute.

worn belt
bad tracking of the belt on the pulley.

Sounds like a belt slipping. You may want to find a mechanic that works on Porsche's, it is not like you have a V12.
