There is a dime sized hole in the pipe, about a foot from the muffler and the converter, right in the center of the muffler and converter.what are some fast fixes to get it to pass smog?

Just want it to pass smog, I only need it to run for some more months till I get a new car. Is there anything cheaper than exhaust wrap?

Can attempt exhaust wrap, but that stuff never lasts. Best to replace that part of pipe.

get a pipe cutter and cut out the bad and go to auto zone with the old part get it just a little bigger just to fit snug two clamps and that will do it and it'll last a while..

Cut the top and bottom off an aluminum soda can and slit the left over part so you may be able to wrap it around the pipe. Put a good amount of muffler cement around the hole and install the soda can around the pipe and secure with some hose clamps.
If you keep your "foot out of it".don't floor board the gas.it can last quite awhile. I have done this many times for many people who did not have or want to use up the $ obliged to fix it properly.

Yes, to have the pipes cleaned by water mixed with ingredients that won't because corrosion. I am sure it has a plug too.

Duct tape and some rubberbands should do it. All you need then is a putty knife to apply.
Good luck and God speed.
