This is on a 93 beretta that's transformed into a race car, the fuel pump fuse in the fuse box has no wires going to it, we installed a switch to the wires that could go to the fuse box. to be able to shut it off if there was a fuel leak. when I apply a 12v source to the grey wire at the fuel pump it runs continuously.

System isn't grounded. test the Switch itself then check for a loose ground.

IF it's a FORD product there's a device that trips like a circuit breaker in case of being rear ended. I have had it trip by backing into a pole. Most are located on the left side in the trunk, most times hidden by carpet.

Don't know if you know this or not, but the relay is controlled by a fuse. If it's blown it'll not come on.

check your fuses there should be one for the fuel pump if it's good there's a fuel safety shut off on cars in the trunk on the side and some trucks it's under the dash.
