Post Golf 4 tdi 110cv large white smoke Reply with quote
My golf spit a lot of white smoke thus I brought it at VW
I did a test of compression of the cylinders
Verdict: thay said to me that the engine had died. Thay also suggested replacing my engine (6000€) etan given the kms of my case '183 Mkm)
Is it possible quite simply to change the piston or the cylinder or I must change engine?
I need your help ............
Thank you

I thus suppose that you have a lack of power, and is the turbo one, how T it? Because if it be break, you have a big white smoke, of other you say blue, but for me it be white…

It is the turbo one . And it leaves a white/blue smoke in fact.
I have the compression ratios according to reports'/ratios' that they left mount at VW
1:25.0 Bar
2: 2.9
3: 12.9
4: 23.6
5: 13.6

an engine it is solid nevertheless, it is not a formule1… except if your little brother made Peter the bitumen on 1000km… in 2nd with 140km/h

In my oppinion you should cange your engine!

I believe well that it is a piston which is broken…
How much is it to change that piston?

Is that white smoke in a steam, is it blue it is oil…
Does it lose water? look at the level of the liquid of cooling. If smoked is bluish looks at the oil level.
