Hard Start RX7 (FD3S)?

I have a ',97 rx7 japanese unit here in the philippines. I have a hardstarting problem in my fd. I read lots on the internet that it signifies me to rebuild or replace my engine. Is there any other way to fix this problem? Thanks so much

check the compression
if your compression is bad then rebuild or replace your engine if its not it mite be a fuel problem
