Has anybody had experience with put a car seat in a VW Beetle new ?
I love my car and do not want to have to get a bigger car if I do not have to. But the baby carseat I have barely fits the person in the passenger seat does not get much room. And I am thinking that when I switch over to the car seat for when my baby gets bigger that it may not fit at all??? Aaaah. I am a tiny person who gets really nervous driving a big car.

Take it and the car to your local fire department, they may help you get it installed properly.
Good Luck

i had the same problem with my 2000 mercury cougar. there's no back space room plus it has can seats. my baby could cry whenever I tried to put him in there. I had to get a different car.

YOU do not SAY WHAT YEAR YOR CAR IS. I HAVE AN '01 AND THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE CHILD SEAT ANCHORS THEY JUST SENT A BOX WITH NEW ONES AND information . AS SAID CRUDLY ABOVE it's TIGHT IN BACK. ALSO think about THAT ONLY THE LAST COUPLE MODEL YEARS HAVE A "TURN OFF" AIR BAGS SWITCH. YOU NEVER WANT TO PUT A BABY SEAT IN A SEAT WITH ACTIVE AIR BAGS, AS THE EXPLOSION OF THE BAGS WILL PUSH THE BABY SEAT OUT OF PLACE, WHICH may be lethal.
