I own a shop, and if you'll look at the battery terminal, you'll see a wire that comes off of it, and bolts to the body. This is a ground wire for the lights. It must be clean, making a good ground, and attached good to the battery. as well, Near the headlight on each side you'll see another wire that comes off the light to the body, and this is the ground for the lights. It too must be clean, free of corrosion, and making a good connection, or the light will not work. Another problem they had was the dimmer switch is so cheap that it burns out in a several years. It works off the turn signal arm. A rod goes from the turn signal arm down the steering column to the switch that's attached about 3/4 the way down, and you get to it from under the dash. This switch is real bad to corrode, and the lights will just not work, or at least not right.
Glad to help, Good Luck.
