Wow, sounds like a school paper, but I',ll bite. I recently bought a Lexus.
Consumer part 1st and most clearly, not poor..divides along economic lines more than racial or age.
What factors same factors that influence any car buy. Want a car that you feel represents you generalizing, 30 year olds don',t want a Lincoln Town Car, 70 year olds don',t want a Porsche...OK, maybe some do . Price and value still count, in an upscale market. projected dependability, generally a factor for any car buy. Yes, name recognition and prestige count too.
Outside influences that exist view of others, most don',t want a car others will see as overly ostentatious or tacky this is the reason you see so many celebrities now driving a Prius. Family size generally factors I could have favored a two seater, but not an choice with my family of four although mine isn't the main family car . Family values some believe any dollar not wisely saved or invested is a dollar wasted these aren't luxury car purchasers .
