Help from you Car men?

I have VW Jetta 96 .. I got in it to go an could not start unless I hold down some gas ..it will run untill you let off the gas then its dead .. ANY HELP PLZ?

may be a couple of things, but is most likely as result of your engine not to get enough fuel.
I'm guessing it's either the fuel pump or you need your fuel injectors cleaned or replaced.
Without looking at it, that's the best I can give you depending on your info.
