to get bigger rims does not essentially mean turns will because rubbing your wheel well or potholes causing the tire to hit the well either, if you get the right tires. I hope you have read up on what you have to do, instead of just going with 22" rims and whatever tire it comes with. If you are not planning on modifying your odometer to go with your new tire circumference, then you'll have to get a 22" with the proper tire size to that will maintain your present circumference and width. Once that's done, then you do not have to worry about the tire rubbing anything because you have not changed anything.
If you are to get 22s and you are doing to get a wider tire, but keep the present circumference, then you may experience some rubbing around full sharp corners because you may not have enough clearance based on how large you go.
If you go all out crazy and get bigger and wider tires, then there is rubbing issues for sure around bumps and turns.
Overall, the only issue with bigger rims is that now there's less tire to take in the affect of potholes, if you hit a big one head on, then the rim ends up taking lots of the shock and energy, so they tend to bend easier, which means new rims..
Anyway, good luck with mod.

increase in rim size will make hitting potholes more obvious. there's less room for the rim to travel and may wind up hitting the wheel wells on deep bumps or holes. may propose you get some firmer springs to reslove this. unless you want it to look real ghetto, I propose you also invest in some bigger rotors and calipers. preferably Brembo rotors. will assist with the braking since you are putting much bigger rims than OEM.

Okay Playa. I do not have rims on my car, but I did hear that you certainly must be cautious about hitting pot holes and bumps which throw off your wheel alignment . Other than that, he mentioned that you should not be too heavy weight wise, ridin' on those 22s. Be cautious out there and watch ya back. Good luck.

First off bigger wheels will throw you are odometer off a bit. Second I def agree with reaper you will need a firmer suspension. I work at a dealer and have seen 22's on a GS, if you turn sharp the tires rub on the wheel wells. to get the firmer suspension will help with that. be sure you get run flats too, so in case you get a flat you don't ruin you are wheels.
