HI, I JUST BOUGHT 2009 MODEL HYUNDAI ELANTRA.?

Postby Tams » Tue Nov 03, 2009 2:02 am

Last night some naughty guys/children attempt to do some "FINGERING" with my Car',s Powered Side Mirror wing mirror of driver side. What I noticed today morning was that when I close this driver side door of car, the mirror is giving sort of vibrating/loosing sound.

Please note that it's only the mirror inside its casing that's vibrating not the whole assembly.

How to fix this problem? My car has just finished 250 Kms bought just ten days ago .

Useful comments in this regard will be greatly appreciated.

The kids may pushed/pulled too hard on the real mirror and caused it to come off of its holding clamps. Each mirror have four poles that clamps on the system. If one pole is out of its grabbing point, it'll because this kind of vibration you have portrayed. Just wobble the mirror by hand and see which side it came of. To put it back in place, you',ll have to push the mirror the reverse side from where it came off till you see the clamp on the mirror side and start pushing that part against the system. You may need a screwdriver to push against the system from behind. you'll hear a click. That means its back in its position.

Hope this help
