Honda auto transmissions have been a probelm for a long time.
They don’t have filter in them and you must change the liquid every year. Other wise they'll pump dirt thru the trans till it plugs up a port and burns it up.
The other thing is NEVER shift from R to D with out comming to a complete stop and NEVER rock a honda to get it un stuck from the snow. It can kill a transmission on the spot.
As far as warranty it depends on the warranty of your car. You eill have to contact the warranty company or dealership to learn.
I once replaced and engine that has been covered by Fram one oftheir oil filters came separately and put l,ittle pieces of filter in the motor of a car and belw the engine. They paid to install the new engine for the buyer.

If the car is new, you may be able to get your money back. If it is used, aka Certified Pre Owned, you are not going to. Used cars are great & you must remember not all of them were well taken care of by the last owner s .

What year is it?
My 97 accord tranny went out at 115k, and my warranty only went to 100k. I wonder if this is a common problem and if these people driving till 200k pay lots in maintenance?

I had the tranny in my 2001 Accord replaced at no charge by Honda. The car has about 96,000 miles. The transmisson warranty for 2000 2001 agreements was expanded to seven years/100,000 miles by Honda.
