Honda's new Element |
|
The 2007 Element SC prototype has a 2.4-liter, DOHC, i-VTEC engine that has 10 horsepower increase than last generation of Element, so now it has 166 horsepower with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard, also the available automatic transmission has five forward gears instead of four.
"The Element SC prototype is the city-dwelling, style-conscious brother of the original Element," said Dick Colliver, executive vice president of American Honda. "Instead of features that accommodate outdoor sports and similar activities, the Element SC injects a new dimension of sophistication into the lineup that can best be characterized as 'night performer.'"
The exterior styling expresses an advanced, performance-oriented position with SC-exclusive features that include projector ray headlights, tradition frontal bumper, lowered hiatus, big metal wheels, tradition grille and a somewhat lowered roofline (thin consequence. To equal the outside, the sole interior takes on a completely original personality with a centre console that has enclosed warehousing areas perfect for mobile phones and MP3 players. Additional sole features include thin accents that jibe to the copper-colored illumination.
