How can I increase the hp on my 350z? I have a stock engine that pushes 287 HP.?
I want more HP at the wheels and don't want to have a turbo kit on it. Does anybody know how? And I want it to be fast usually off the line and zero to 60 so I could race.

If you get it to stop pushing all those HP's maybe it'll be quicker off the line?

Go with a supercharger. I have seen these cars with it which is about the same size as a turbo. If not, change the cams, valves and lifters that is high performance. After that, use up some bucks on a programmer to change your rev limitations. Only after you installed the exhaust, intake and maybe some headers. These things may help you but nobody races zero 60. If they see you on the street, it is more like how far can you hold them on your rear. But you gotta ask yourself how far are you wanting to go and use up.

K&N with cold air and change the exhost pipes. Then think about taking weight off the car, and add large tires with soft compound.

Intake, aftermarket manifold, IM spacers, headers, downpipe, free flow cats, exhaust, pulley, clutch, flywheel, cams, lighter wheels, or reflash the ECU are some of the best ways to increase WHP NA on a VQ engine.
If you really want power, go with nitrous or F/I.

first just start off with adding the basics..cold air intake, performace exhaust, headers, and maybe a chip. these simple, cheap mods should get you up to about 310 315 hp. this will improve your zero 60 time some. it'll also add to the look of your Z. If you want to avoid forced induction, you could generally do some engine work new cams, headers, rods, pistons and get more power that way. nontheless, have fun tuning your Z, its a beautiful car.

The simplest way, and cheapest by far, is to get the ECM "re flashed". you're simply having the engines computer reprogrammed with different software parameters, to let more air/fuel mixture into the engine, higher red line etc.Expect five 10% improvement.
Second, look into good aftermarket exhaust systems.A good exhaust system will, add three 6% more torque and hp.
Third, look into lightening your car. I don't know how far you could want to go with that, as removing sound proofing material, and the passenger seat etc. can make the car decidedly uneasy. but its the oldest trick around. Less weight means a better hp to weight percentage.Look at lighter rims. Its called "moment of inertia".A simple two pound reduction on the weight of your rims means that is less reciprocating mass the engine has to overcome, particularly coming off the line, but at roadspeeds also.
Forth. Yeah, as other people have said, supercharging is a good way to go.Mild superchargers can simply screw on and offer instant power when the pedal is mashed, whereas the turbos typically have a "lag" till increase is built from the exhaust pressure. Any serious increase pressure from turbos or superchargers require big engine mods, primarily for strength. Dumping 250+ H.P. into your stock engine wouldnt last but some passes in the quarter, if that, before parts started flying and melting.
The sky is the bound really, it depends on how far you and your wallet really want to go.Just some simple tuning and parts swapping can get you some serious enhancements for less than 2k.
