How does Saturn in the 8th house relate to power?

Postby Fastride » Tue Nov 03, 2009 2:05 am

One map, eighth house in Scorpio, in another the eighth house is in Aquarius.

How could Saturn function differently under these signs?

Thank you.

I think that Scorpio in eighth could intensify one',s sex orientation for good or ill based on the quality and level of the personality.Sexuality is a big concern for this one. Aquarius could be prone to investigate sexuality, what I can call ',peculiar interest', or some openness that goes beyond regular attitudes. Some say that this sign in eighth house lack passion or may dont have sexual interest. Saturn has an inhibiting effect. In scorpio, the person could use their sexuality to control a partnership whereas in Aquarius, Saturn could most likely make the person more aloof, more reserved in their sexaul expression.

Traditionally, the 8th house has been recognized as the house of death. Saturn in the 8th in a natal map could mean a awful death. Modern day astrologers moved away from that line of thinking. Today we think of the 8th house as a house of resurrections. The 8th house symbolizes transformations through growth and change. As an individual you may have to reinvent yourself from time to time. The 8th house is reverse the second house, which symbolizes your approach to possessions. In that sense the 8th house stands for your approach to giving up relics of the past, so you may be able to grow and change. Saturn in the 8th house may be a powerful influence. This influence will make you simply resist transformations, change and growth. you'll find it hard to accept changes in your life. Any change will be stressful for you, bringing in anxiety and worry. Be aware of this influence. Understand that change is something that you don t react to well. Prepare for change. Take time to map out a course or action plan whenever change is imminent. Read a book on managing change in your life or at work. Change, if managed well, can make your life richer and better.
