How easy is it to fix up a mazda six with performance parts?

I'm trying to fix my mazda up for racing but don't have that much cash rite now so what could be an ideal performace part to start off with?

dude ebaymotors.com has cheap performance parts. I just bought a k&n intake system for $35.

Start with headers and exhaust and you most likely will not void the warranty
