You will not be able to detect if someone rolled back some hundred miles since the last time they took it to a mechanic, but you'll be able to see if they are taking tens of thousands of miles off. If the mileage on the car is lower than the last mileage in the Carfax report, it has either been rolled back, or it was earlier misreported.
