automakers are finding ways to make the gear packs inside the transmission smaller which in turn they can put more gears which will give you better gas milage, most semi transmissions are bigger than your car motor

What's the big deal? There are many cars out ther with Continueous Variable Transmissions CVT 's It means they have an "infinite speed auto car".
So what is so great about only seven speeds?
